So Let's Try This Again
So I sort of got distracted by my work on www.officebeets.com and forgot about this blog for awhile. It has been fun working on that site although I have no real blogging skills besides the two lines of HTML that Asa taught me. I still feel cool (in a geeky way) every time I use them. I have had almost 4,000 visitors from all over the world. Not that much I know but we always say in theater that you have to give the same performance even if there is only one person in the audience. I was mentioned on "The Office Alliance Podcast" and given a good review. It has been fun! In the midst of all of that I forgot my password for this blog and had to confess that to Asa even though I had done that once before. Aghhhh!
School has started and three days in I am already in the midst of stress-inducing chaos and upper back pain. I am begging for a wall clock maybe this year I will succeed. I buy so much for the students but for some reason I just can't give in on this issue! Aghhhh!
This weekend has been very cool but was lots of fun! Asa and I went to Amigo's tacos after working out. They have amazing salsa and crappy service but we love going. Saturday was the return of Josh Woodward to the stage. He is awesome on CD but better in life. He exemplifies the idea that no two performances are the same. (Yea, I know he is probably reading this but I am serious!) He even played my all-time favorite "Troublemaker" and second all-time fav, "Incoherent". He called attention to Asa going to the bathroom and referred to his next album as "N+1", ha! To top that off the concert was at the Revolver an AMAZING gourmet restaurant that changes it's menu monthly and uses local items. I particularly loved the sweetcorn bisque, Asa's Braised Thai short ribs with slaw and the chocolate creme brulee. Yum!!! There was also a tasty (amuse buse?? I can hardly say it much less spell it!) that was shaved ice with melon.
Finally, in a nearly constant effort to improve myself and increase my self-esteem I like to think about ideas and try to look at them from the other side. Here is my note from this week as posted on Facebook after the jump.
