Well Seussical opens tonight ! It has been a difficult production but I am very excited. Although I'm sick to my stomach and my voice is scratchy and tired.

Everything becomes so real when you see yourself streched out on a piano in the local paper. Kinda funny, that's the scene they pick to represent a "family" show?
I have like 16 people coming tonight, and a get-together afterwards! Weeeee, should be good fun!
Last weekend we visited Cincy to see Brian and Mary and attend Sarah's townhouse warming party; it was tons of fun and Sarah and her roommate had the best bottled beer and extravagant snacks. I personally loved the hot apple cider! We brought Barkley along too so he could play with Mary's black lab mix, Puppy Dog. Barks wasn't so sure about Puppy at first but they soon became good friends and they had a ball chasing each other. Once when Puppy blocked Bark's way to me, Barkley just used Puppy as a springboard up onto my lab.
Last night we attended the annual Gille family Pumpkin Carving Party, I was told that Steve was planning to out-carve me this year so I really brought the goods, I picked a very difficult pattern and bought a special candle that was supposed to spew smoke out of the pumpkin. Unfortunately the candle didn't work but I still think I did well. Check it out the www.schemer.com, flickr photos link. My pumpkin is the haunted castle, Steve's is the grim reaper. Asa did great too, his is the Medusa on steroids character.
For you Lehman folk: at my little country school out in the middle of nowhere I found Holly Virzi sitting in the hallway working with students. Wow! That was crazy she was there working toward her teaching degree from Ohio Northern. I of course tried to talk her into speech therapy! She said her brother is working towards becoming an auctioneer!
Well hopefully once the show is over I will have more time to write. Next week is heck week. 5 hour rehersals, a new school building and caseload added to my work schedule and my last week of being 28. OYE. Hope I survive.
Okay so I told everyone that I had this great new blog but then didn't update it for over a week. Horrible, I know. But I do have an excuse or two. One being I was sick last week and I really didn't think that anyone would really want to hear the details of that! ( I still cringe at some of Chris' snot descriptions and Julie's labor details!) I will say though that when Asa returned from Houston on Thursday he took such good care of me! He covered me up, brought me my pills and water and ordered my favorite pizza. He even helped take care of Barkley. That was so nice.
I feel a lot better now.
