a hodge podge

Well I just got home from another BG class. An employee from the career center came in and talked for an hour and a half about writing a resume and finding a job. Oh my gosh, I can't beilve they made me pay about $1700 for this crap. I was so bored I sent text messages on my phone, I was so excited to get a response! I now understand why it is so popular.

I have been meaning to mention for awhile that I was driving along one day and saw a woman walking her skunk, I took a triple take and yes, it was definitely a skunk. Then she picked it up and put it into a car. I have heard that a skunk ( with removed stinker) is actually a good pet.

These days the customer is always wrong. I ordered a pizza from Pizza Hut awhile ago. I never have before in Findlay, but I was in the mood for something different. Also I LOVE their breadsticks. Well I ordered for delivery and they said it would be 40 minutes ( I was like, "WOW Paradise (our usual pizza) only takes 20 to 30, but okay. Zoom to an hour later, "should I call? if I do will someone spit on my pizza? Uhhh, I'm so hungry" One hour and five minutes later, "alright I'll call". Well I do and I am put on hold, hold, hold, I watch my watch for five minutes hang up and try again. The woman says, "hello, can you hold?"
"Actually, I already did for five minutes," I say, trying not to sound too irritated. She, sounding very irritated said, "Okay, I'll be right back." Umm, she wasn't." I'm thinking, "crap, I shouldn't have paid with my credit card!" so I wait and finally, they say, "Can I take your order?" They call the driver and he shows up saying how they are crazy, he is underpaid etc. I'm like just give me the pizza here is your dollar. I was afrad to eat it, but darn I was hungry. If I was a Pizza Hut sup, I think I would rather refer patrons to the Hut across town than to continue to take orders that I couldn't properly fufill, or at least warn them of the delay. But that's just me.

Then last week at Meijer I had an interesting shopping experience. Even though they just re-designed the store they still have all sorts of crap in the aisles. Tempted by a poker table I thought Asa might like I leaned over and looked for the price, I couldn't see one so I touched the box a bit and looked at the side. Next thing I know I am being hit with 50lbs or so of clay poker chips. I was stunned. Some employees saw it and took me to the service desk. There I waited about 10 minutes until some lady showed up and said, "So do you want me to file an accident report?" I am aching and woozie and thinking, " I waited 10 minutes for that? Well I did so that maybe they will change the set up of that display. Feeling crappy I took my groceries to the checkout ( 20 stalls, 3 open) I tried to watch the fancy TV screen they have at the checkout until I realized that the content repeats every 20 seconds. 15 minutes later after seeing the 20 second show about 32 times I finally got to check out. I was fuming to get out of there. My neck started hurting and I was dizzy driving home. Fortunately the next morning I had a smaller headache, a scab on my head, and I was less angry. Corporate sent me a $50 gift card this week, but I still don't think I'll go to that store any time soon. That would have taken a free i-pod!

Oye, what a rant, but I feel better!

How Lucky You Are!!

I am very lucky today, I got a whole day off for fog! What a wonderful surprise and a wonderful day!

The show is over and now I will have time to write again. Thanks to everyone who came to the show, wished me luck, mentioned me on their bolg, etc. I really appreciate it and I'm very touched.

A special thanks to Asa who was a wonderful supportive husband, not only did he not complain about me not getting home each evening until 10:30 p.m., he bought a lot of tickets and came to the show for EVERY performance! He even got me roses!

The show went better than expected overall. Sunday crowds were lined up down the block and the show had to be delayed 35 minutes. I heard the stage manager say they had to send in a couple thousand more dollars because they only bought the rights for 300 people a night. Great! It was lots of fun and I will never foget how great it was to have so many people scream for me during my bow. It was the loudest one Iv'e ever had.

I took the Palm Beach sign from my palm tree set and took it home as a souviner.
