Redonkulous Buns

Nothing gives me my daily dose of cheer like cuteoverload.com
It is also responsible for my new lingo.
Saturday is no longer Saturday but Caterday. Sunday is now Bunday.

This clip put me over the edge the other day, totally redonkulous to have all those buns in one room!

"Out of Africa" starring Kristi Yamaguchi

Ever seen it? I just watched it on my 12 x 16 foot screen which Scott F. helped me to operate in my parent's new house in Arizona overlooking a vast snow capped mountain range. I discovered our theater when looking for damage from the two tornadoes that hit while we were swimming in our pools. Scott had just stopped by to return a music textbook he borrowed from me back in high school.

Sometimes it's a real bummer to wake up!

I have never even seen "Out of Africa" perhaps now I never will. I miss that house we were just beginning to get settled.

I often fall asleep after my allergy shots when able, they just knock me out! In addition to that I had an appointment to see the doctor. Surprise, surprise though I didn't see the actual doctor just his assistant. Not sure if that meant assistant allergist or assistant to the allergist. This seems to be an increasing trend in Findlay though. I think I have only met my general doc twice. Oh well at least I got in! If this happens at the OBGYN I'm gonna freak!

Not that docs are really all that great all the time, I worked in the nursing home and been denied orders countless times because, "the patient is dying anyway"
or they just felt like saying no. Yea, ok, I know they did have 10 minutes on dysphagia in college (I mean swallowing disorders). Oh sorry, I'm ranting.

Really, I'm sorry, I understand how it is. When people complain that I can't see my kids for every session I can understand. I just have so many evaluations, meetings, IEPs and paperwork there is really very little I can do about it. I'm sure it's that way for doctors too.

OK I'm done.

Back in the Game

Well if you are still there, I'm back! Last December my computer went nuts and then I went nuts and I couldn't blog. But here I am all set-up again.

Asa and I just got back from Vegas, it was so much fun!! Check out our pictures! Asa was there for a conference and since he already had a room and food and such I just got a plane ticket to join him. Vegas wasn't exactly what I had imagined it would be but it was great! We saw Jubilee! and I was surprisingly comfortable with the topless girls. The lack of bras looked so liberating! But really it wasn't the focus of the show. The sets were amazing complete with a sinking Titanic complete with flooding and fire! Amazing!

We also saw David Copperfield! Asa and I both had fond memories of his magic specials in the 1980s such as when he walked through the Great Wall of China. The theater was pretty small and the show was amazing!!! Here is one trick we saw him do just a few yards from us.

It was also touching and hilarious! He made 13 audience members disappear and made a car appear with two audience members below it holding on to pedestals and audience members surrounding it.

Well if I have time I will write more about Vegas.

I am now in a play, "Stepping out" it's about a beginning tap class and I have the funniest lines. I thought, "no songs, this will be easy!" I was wrong, it means more lines, different acting technique and basically, I was just completely wrong. More about that later.

The Office is over for the season. Had to mention it. I will cry for Jim and Pam all summer!

School is finally over!!! This is my second day off!!!
Yesssss!

Oh and finally, I spent the plane ride home reading "Marley and Me: Life and Love with the worlds worst dog" what an awesome book! I laughed and cried, cried, cried. Can't wait for the movie coming out on Christmas Day.

As if I could love and appreciate Barkley anymore I now do because of this book.
